1. The Double Take
Synopsis:
Joan and Shirley Muggleton inherit a country garage from their Uncle Ted. However, their
plan to make a profit by selling the place is thwarted when they encounter 'difficulties'
in the form of a lazy third-rate mechanic named Charlie.

Synopsis: An
American tourist calls in to the roadhouse to have a punctured tyre repaired,
unaware that Charlie's bungling is going to cost him a small fortune.

Synopsis:
Charlie finds it difficult to concentrate on his job, and the reason becomes clear when
Stinger, the local SP bookie, appears. Stinger tries to tempt Charlie to have a bet on the
Cup, despite Joan and Shirley placing a ban on Charlie betting.

Synopsis:

Synopsis: In order to get rid of the girls and hold a 'convention', Charlie
and Stinger tell them the story of Gawler's Ghost, who supposedly haunts the garage once a
year.

comeback. The girls see this as a way of making some much needed money but
