Synopsis: Doubleday is so engrossed in his work he doesn't seem to notice anything else - including Jenny, the pretty young home science teacher.

Synopsis:
Doubleday catches a rare butterfly during one of his nature rambles. He is visited by a famous collector who offers a large sum of money to mount it.

Synopsis:
Trouble begins for Doubleday when the school principal discovers an article in the latest issue of the school newspaper criticising the administration. Doubleday, a firm believer in the freedom of the press, refuses to remove the article from the paper.

Synopsis:
Jenny is taken to lunch by a former boy friend, Charlie Wilson, in an exotic sports car, so Doubleday decides to buy a big car to impress her. He goes to the local car dealer whose slogan is 'Easy credit, just bring an honest face'.

Synopsis:
Doubleday buys a motorbike and sidecar. He invites Tobe and new teacher Phyllis McTaggart for a trip to the country, but the bike ends up in a creek and in seeking refuge they are forced to spend the night in a haunted house.

Synopsis:
Doubleday is caught in the crossfire of an argument between Wes and Sandra, who has every intention of calling the wedding off when Wes refuses to entertain two of her friends. Also, Doubleday and Mr. Hamilton agree to baby-sit for Miss McTaggart's little nephew, and they go to great lengths to ensure the boy has a wonderful evening.
