Pete Fairhall.......Michael Laurence Synopsis: Elizabeth Dent, now married with a baby, and her husband Bill Dunstan, move into a new house, and they take in Dave Milson as a boarder. Their neighbour Daniel J. Penrose is a people-hater and forbids his three children to even speak to the new arrivals. Unable to prevent interaction with the new neighbours, Daniel tries a counter-offensive - to scare them off by inviting them to a gruesome vegetarian lunch. Airdate: Melbourne 9/3/73, Sydney 10/3/73 2. One Small Match Maker Synopsis: Daniel pretends to have a heart attack in order to halt the blossoming romance between Meg and Dave Milson. But Daniel is in for a surprise when Elizabeth and Joanna join forces against him. Airdate: Melbourne 16/3/73, Sydney 17/3/73 3. A Tiny Touch Of Tonsil Trouble Dr. Henshaw.......Edward Howell Synopsis: Everyone is appalled when Daniel discovers that his and B.J.'s tonsils have to be removed and he decides that the operation will be performed in his own home on the dining room table. After quite an argument Dr. Henshaw agrees to it. Airdate: Melbourne 23/3/73, Sydney 6/4/73 4. A Rabbit In Love Synopsis: Dave gives B.J. a rabbit called 'Dizzy', and the Penrose and Dunstan housholds are thrown into chaos after 'Dizzy' destroys Daniel's pride and joy - his garden of organically grown vegetables. Airdate: Melbourne 30/3/73, Sydney 31/3/73 5. The Portrait Pete Fairhall.......Michael Laurence Synopsis: Daniel is presented with a particularly horrifying painting for his birthday. In an effort to get rid of it without offending anybody, he resorts to burgling his own house in order to 'steal' it, and is duly arrested. Airdate: Melbourne 6/4/73 6. Foureyes Pete Fairhall.......Michael Laurence Synopsis: Two small girls at school cause B.J. to become self-conscious about wearing glasses. He runs away from home and has the entire neighbourhood in an uproar. Airdate: Melbourne 13/4/73, Sydney 13/4/73 7. That's Your Story Synopsis: B.J. causes chaos in the two households when he replaces a story of Dave's with a story of Daniel's and sends it off to a well-known magazine. Airdate: Melbourne 27/4/73 8. The Box And B.J. Synopsis: Daniel is distracted when B.J. becomes addicted to television. He goes to extreme lengths in order to cure B.J. of the habit. Airdate: Melbourne 20/4/73, Sydney 20/4/73 9. A Guru Loose Synopsis: The entire Penrose household take up yoga, with highly comic results. Airdate: Melbourne 4/5/73, Sydney 4/5/73 10. The Man Who Came To Dinner Gridley.......Noel Ferrier Synopsis: Daniel is offered a lecture tour of America and tries to win the approval of the promoter, Mr. Gridley, by inviting him to share their vegetarian dinner, unaware that his guest is a well-known gourmet. Airdate: Melbourne 11/5/73 11. Handing Down The Budget Synopsis: Daniel allows Meg, Martin and B.J. to take over the family finances. It is only a short time before he bitterly regrets it. Airdate: Melbourne 18/5/73, Sydney 18/5/73 12. I See A Long Journey Kate Dunstan.......Doreen Warburton Synopsis: Bill receives an offer to take over his company's office in China. The Last Minute Waltz Kate Dunstan.......Doreen Warburton Synopsis: The Dunstan house is in an uproar on the day of Elizabeth's departure for China. Daniel And God Synopsis: Following an accident which confines him to bed, Daniel believes he has fallen out of favour with the Almighty and calls for a priest to hear his confessions. Airdate: Melbourne 15/6/73 15. The Camping Trip Synopsis: Marty decides that the Penrose family is getting into a rut and Daniel suggests that they all pack up and get back to nature for a weekend. When a sudden storm hits they are caught totally unprepared. Airdate: Melbourne 22/6/73 16. The Hair Raisers Synopsis: Daniel is convinced that he is going bald and decides to invest in a wig. When Joanna and the children fail to assure him that he does not need it, they resort to devious methods of disposing of the wig. Airdate: Melbourne 29/6/73, Sydney 22/6/73 17. The Terrifying Green Eyed Monster Synopsis: The children decide that it is time their father married Joanna and they coax her into a scheme to make Daniel jealous. Just An Old Fashioned Wedding Synopsis: Daniel and Joanna begin their wedding plans - only to get tangled up in a sea of complicated arrangements.
