Synopsis: The 15-year-old daughter of a Catholic policeman, who is
investigating a rape-murder case, becomes the chosen victim of the killer

Synopsis: Through a young patient, Dr. Hamilton becomes involved with an
occult group, and finds that they are part of a mass murder conspiracy
against unmarried mothers. After two deaths, a third woman is abducted and
there is a race against time to find her before she too is murdered.
Notes:
The first six episodes featured Robyn Tolhurst
in a support role as a policewoman who acted as Dr. Hamilton's secretary. Shortly afterwards
it was decided to upgrade the secretary's role, and Robyn was replaced by Rosalind Speirs
as Constable Pat Casey, a policewoman also assigned to the police medical
department for secretarial duties. Rosalind Speirs made a guest performance in
this episode, and even though it was only a small part in which she ended up
dead within a few minutes, the producers were impressed by her performance,
and she was subsequently cast in the role of Const. Casey.

him and escapes. The safety of Jean Hamilton is at risk when Morgan tries
to kill Policewoman Milson in the Hamilton's home.

Synopsis: When Dr. Hamilton is called to attend a policeman who has been
badly injured in an explosion, he administers morphine and the policeman
dies. Dr. Hamilton then faces allegations of professional incompetence.

This episode
called for a small explosion as part of a safe break-in at a factory,
however the explosion broke
15 to 20 windows at Supreme Studios where the scene was being filmed. "The
blast was a bit more spectacular than we really wanted", explained Roger
Mirams. "A funny end came after we had assessed the cost of replacing the
windows. The person who had set the charges for the explosion came up and
mentioned that his family owns a glazing factory!"22

Notes: Events in this episode closely parallel those of the infamous
Bogle-Chandler murder case, which has been unsolved since 1963. Some beach
scenes were filmed at the back door of the WIN-4 Wollongong studios by carting

Notes: Three firemen unexpectedly got into the
action. The script featured an explosion in a car, and the fire brigade were
called to extinguish the subsequent blaze when filming was completed. Two
cameras were filming the action when the firemen raced in with a hose and were
caught on film. A crew member said: "They played their part so convincingly we
decided to keep filming and keep them in the action. The script only called
for a siren but now we've got the firemen on film as well."23

of her own and accepts the trip against Steve's wishes. In Fiji, Jean meets Dr. Ted Grant who
runs an airport medical service to the outlying islands. A strong
attachment grows between the two of them which could prove dangerous.

Jack Thompson was offered the role of Dr.
Grant, but he turned it down because of the Fiji location - having just
finished work on the feature film Sunday Too Far Away in South
Australia, Thompson wanted to stay in Sydney for a while.

Synopsis: Dr. Hamilton is called in by the Department of Welfare when
they contact the police force concerned about the welfare of an elderly
man, a tenant in a rent-controlled house. Hamilton uncovers a plot to
deliberately drive the old man from his house and, in defending the old
man's rights, finds that he has no legal grounds on which to carry on the
fight.
