Synopsis: Homicide detectives are involved in a painstaking search for a pervert who
molests and murders young girls. It takes eight months to bring a man to trial, but is he
the right man, and if so, is he responsible for his actions?
Notes: 2 hour episode. Second of two 'Homicide Trial' episodes, featuring a courtroom
follow-up. Screened at the later time of 8:30 PM - the airdate was brought
forward and the episode was shown soon after completion. Hector Crawford introduced the
episode warning viewers that it portrays 'ugly crimes' and therefore parents may not wish
their children to see it. However, he also stated to the press that he believed every
child should see it to possibly prevent further crimes of that nature occurring. Due to
the length of the episode requiring it to be split over two reels of 2-inch video tape,

"I was worried," said Eileen, "but after we had checked with Monash
University and found the spiders are harmless I was a little reassured. I talked myself
into it and was ready by the day of filming - but the spider was a very lively one and
this did not cheer me up much!"

Synopsis: The discovery of a body leads to the reunion of Insp. Fox with an old friend,
Mum Enright, nicknamed 'Mother Superior', a little old woman who has raised a family of

Synopsis: Alex Watsford is a myopic, mild-mannered vendor of boot-making
machinery whose life has become a safe, regular pattern. Each day
for him proceeds with monotonous regularity until, one morning on his way
to work, he decides to take a different route. Alex gets more than he
bargained for in an 'adventure' when he picks up an attractive hippie hitch-hiker, Chris Green.
Chris is nice to him and takes him to her house for a cup of coffee, but
subsequent events are a blur for the unfortunate Alex who finds himself,
contrary to his nature, running from the police.
