Synopsis: An artist arrives
at an outdoor party with a stunning blonde. Within minutes the girl is
dead, and so is a young folk-singer who was also a party guest. Homicide detectives are called in
to the off-beat world of an artist's colony to investigate the mysterious deaths,
and suspense mounts as investigations into the puzzling case builds to an
unexpected climax.
Notes: One scene required the police car
window to be shot out, but there was no money in the budget for a windscreen. Drafting
paper was put over the window with a hole cut out, and cameraman Alan Arnold filmed from
the back seat as Leonard Teale and Terry McDermott in the front threw screwed up
cellophane lolly wrappers in the air. The end result looked like a bullet shattering a
windscreen. Guest actor Liz Harris (who would later marry Leonard Teale)
performs a song, 'Three-Headed Dog', which was specially written for the
episode by scriptwriter Ian Jones. Gerard Kennedy is credited as 'car
driver', but he cannot be seen in the episode.
