Synopsis: Eddie Chapman's wife is found murdered on a cliff-top path at the beach. Police
suspect Eddie, the smooth talking owner of a tennis school, as does his sister-in-law
Sally Partridge when Eddie asks her to sign a money order. Detectives can't prove anything
until a gold necklace brings to light the real murderer. Inspector Connolly takes long

engaged in earning extra money to supplement their pensions. When one of
their number, Charlie Cook, is found dead, they dispose of the body for
fear that a police investigation would expose their activities and land

Notes: John Dingwall was joint winner of an Awgie award for Best Script For A TV Drama
Series (1969) for this episode (shared with Tony Morphett for Delta episode 19, 'A

always drunk, and is seen by Supt. Tilley at a lively evening at a club. When Tilley meets
Patterson, he mistakes Jim for Eddie, and is aghast at his behaviour. Further reports
reach Homicide about Eddie, and they become concerned about Jim's 'split personality'.
Notes: Norman Yemm's twin brother Gordon features in this episode which was especially
written as a comedy. Norman played both roles in single shots, and dubbed the voices when
